Knitting curved lines is the most difficult stage in knitting. These include various neck shapes, armholes, sleeves. To knit a fabric with a complex contour, you need to make accurate calculations. It is easier to cope with such a task when working with a drawing.
It is necessary
- - Paper pattern;
- - knitting needles;
- - threads.
Instructions
Step 1
Inside the pattern of the part, build a right-angled triangle in which the calculated line will lie opposite the right angle. At the base of this triangle, count the number of loops, and along the height - the number of side braids. The loops to be closed correspond to the base of the triangle, and the number of closure techniques is equal to the number of side braids.
Step 2
An oval concave line is obtained if you close a different number of loops at one time. To do this, divide the total number of loops into 4 parts. If there is a remainder, add it to the loops of the first section at the side seam. The first group will always have at least 4-6 loops.
Step 3
Divide the loops of three parts, except for the 1st, into groups. Divide the loops of the 2nd part into 3, close three loops in a row. Divide the loops of the 3rd part by 2, which means you need to close 2 loops each. The 4th part is closed one loop at a time through an equal number of rows.
Step 4
Reflect the results of the calculation on the pattern.
Step 5
Tie the shelf to the armhole, close all the loops of the first part at the beginning of the front row. After tying a row, knit a purl row and at the beginning of a new front row, close 3 loops in a row. Thus, you will begin to knit the loops of the second part. Do all subsequent decreases as calculated at the beginning of each front row.
Step 6
Decrease the loops of the 4th group through one front row one by one. Make a decrease at the beginning of the front row, knit it to the end, then knit the purl row, then the front row again and another purl. Only at the beginning of the third front row, make another decrease. Do not forget to follow the number of rows on the pattern.
