The underwater world does not leave indifferent anyone who has ever encountered it. A variety of shapes, bright colors, outlandish animals and plants - all this creates the feeling of a fairy tale. Not everyone has the opportunity to create a piece of the underwater world in their apartment. But the inhabitants of the depths of the sea can live for a very long time in paintings, created with their own hands. Even a person who has never specially studied fine arts can draw some of them. You need the desire and ability to see the form.

It is necessary

  • - paper;
  • - pencil;
  • - watercolor paints;
  • - gouache;
  • - drawing with a bivalve shell;
  • - brush;
  • - foam sponge.

Instructions

Step 1

Before drawing a shell, it is better to tint the paper. If your shell is on the seabed, let that seabed be visible. Cover the lower part of the sheet with yellowish or reddish paint, and make the upper part bluish or aqua. It is better to tint with watercolor paint with a sponge. Wet a part of the leaf with the same sponge, but without paint, and fill it with one color. Let dry, then wet another part of the leaf and paint it in a different tone. It is better to take a square sheet.

Step 2

After the fill is dry, start painting. Sketch with the thinnest pencil, so that later there is no need to erase auxiliary lines. On the part of the sheet where you have the "bottom", draw a straight line parallel to the bottom edge of the sheet. The length of the line is arbitrary, but do not forget that the top of the shell is wider than the bottom, so leave enough room on the sides. Divide this line in half and draw a vertical centerline to the height of the shell. Divide the vertical centerline in half, draw a perpendicular to both sides to the middle. They should be about twice as long as the bottom line segments. You can not draw a perpendicular at all, but simply imagine that it is, but points at its ends must be put in any case.

Step 3

Connect the points at the ends of the perpendicular you just drew or imagined to the middle of the bottom line. From above, connect the ends of the perpendiculars to each other with a semicircle.

Step 4

Divide the semicircle into an arbitrary number of parts with dots. Connect adjacent points with arcs. The convex part of each arc is at the top. From all points, draw straight lines to the middle of the bottom line of the shell.

Step 5

Draw the bottom of the shell. To do this, divide the lines that connect the middle of the lower axial to the ends of the semicircle into 3 parts. Connect the end of the bottom line to the dot representing 1/3 of the line from the bottom. Round the corners, circle the shell along the contour.

Step 6

It is better to paint the shell with gouache. Choose a suitable shade and cover the shell with the first coat of paint. Try to paint it evenly, without streaks and gaps. Draw the lines that divide the shell into sectors with a thin brush and thicker paint. In the middle of each sector, add another layer of base paint, adding white there.
