The bass guitar, or simply the bass, is a string-plucked instrument of the kind of guitars. There are four-string bass, five-string, six-string. Basses with a large number of strings are also made on individual orders. As a rule, the instrument is used in pop-jazz styles of music. Depending on the number of strings, they are tuned in different ways.
Instructions
Step 1
Four-string, the most common bass is tuned from the first (lowest in position, highest in sounding, thinnest) string to the fourth. Each string is pulled by twisting the tuning pegs to a certain tone. The first string is G, the second is D, the third is A¹, and the fourth is E¹. While twisting the peg, constantly twitch the string, comparing with the desired sound. Once you get the sound you want, stop.
Step 2
In a five-stringed bass, the first four strings are tuned in the same way, and the fifth sounds like the note H² (in pop-jazz music it is denoted as B²). Twist the tuning pegs to achieve the desired sound for each string.
Step 3
For a six-string bass, the last string is tuned to the note F² or E². The rest are built on the principle of five-string and six-string bass.
