One of the biggest challenges for all new guitarists is tuning your guitar. There are 3 most common guitar tuning methods, suitable for guitarists of all skill levels.

Step 1
Use any free online tuner like Guitar-Online (link below). When you press one of the buttons representing the strings, the online tuner will reproduce the ideal sound of that string, in accordance with which you will need to tune the string on your guitar.
Step 2
If you find it difficult to tune a guitar by comparing sounds, buy a tuner from a music store. It is inexpensive, but it will be very useful on a visit or on a long trip. In general, all tuners are very similar, differ only in brand and additional functionality. BOSS tuners are very popular, for example, the TU-80 - it has a nice design and 2 additional functions: tuning the guitar in different keys and a metronome.
Turn on the tuner, place the guitar as close as possible to its speakers and pluck the "open" strings. Thanks to special sensors, the tuner will detect the string itself (or rather, the corresponding note) and show on the display whether it is necessary to loosen or tighten the string. Typically, a deviation to the left means that the string needs to be pulled, and to the right means that it needs to be loosened.
Step 3
This option is suitable for slightly more advanced guitarists. If you can tune one of the strings, you can tune the others with it.
The 6th string at the 5th fret should sound the same as the 5th string open (not clamped).
The 5th string at the 5th fret is like the 4th open.
The 4th string at the 5th fret is like the 3rd open.
The 3rd string at the 4th fret (mind you, only here is the 4th fret, not the 5th) - like the 2nd open.
String 2 at the 5th fret is like 1 open.
