Simon's Cat is a cartoon character. The creator of the animated series of the same name drew this character, spying on his pets. A playful and constantly hungry cat can also be drawn by the one who first took up such work.
Simon's cat: a few words about the cartoon character
Simon's Cat is a series of animated films created by English animator Simon Tofield.
In each episode, the main character - a domestic cat - uses any tactics so that the owner let him in, feed him, pay attention to him. The manners of this cartoon character very much resemble the behavior of real cats in real life, albeit in a somewhat grotesque way.
Simon the cat cartoons were created using Adobe Flash.
In an interview with Your Cat magazine, Simon Tofield admitted that his three cats - Macy, Jess and Hugh - give him inspiration for creating cartoons, especially Hugh. In 2009, Simon's Cat was first published as a book. In November 2010, the second book, Simon's Cat: Beyond the Fence, was published, in which a bully character embarks on new adventures outside the walls of his master's house.
How to draw Simon's cat
It is not difficult to portray him at all, because there are no difficult or fanciful details in this cartoon character. To draw this perky Simon the cat, you will need:
- paper;
- a simple pencil;
- eraser;
- paints, markers or colored pencils for coloring the character.
The most convenient way to start creating an image of Simon's cat is from the eyes. To do this, draw two circles together, and then mark the pupils with dots. After that, just above the eyes, draw the triangular ears. Do not make them straight, but rather they become slightly tilted, as if the cat pressed them to its head. After all, this character constantly finds himself in a variety of awkward situations.
How to draw Simon's cat so that the result is a believable and natural look? It is necessary to draw the body, as well as the tail, with a pencil. Draw a line down near the eye, which will serve as the beginning of the front paw of Simon's cat. Then draw the second paw, create round cat's toes. Let the character be depicted in a seated position on the ground and rests on a paw.
Next to the paw of Simon's cat, you can depict a bright small butterfly.
Now, with a smooth line, you need to draw the character's back, making it sufficiently convex. After that, draw a rounded hind leg and draw a fluffy tail. It should be big and curved. Next, add small details: a small mouth with a smile, a tiny nose, a plump belly. You can also depict grass, flowers and indicate the place where the character is sitting.
Simon's cat turns out to be quite similar to the character from the cartoon of the same name. Color your cat and he will become cheerful and lively.
