Machine knitting has always been popular and attracted needlewomen with its time saving for making a product, the possibility of various combinations and the implementation of their ideas. To knit on a machine, you need to learn - it all depends on the brand of the machine and what you plan to make with it.
Instructions
Step 1
Machine knitting has its own characteristics.
Before work, a thorough check of the thread is necessary - the performance of your machine and the appearance of the product depend on it. Strongly twisted or untwisted threads are not suitable for machine knitting.
Step 2
Check the quality of the yarn dye. Iron the moistened thread, covering it with a white cloth. If there are no traces left, then use yarn to connect with light threads and to make complex ornaments. Try washing and boiling yarn that has left marks on white fabric in a mild vinegar solution. Check the color strength again.
Step 3
Read the instructions. Detailed descriptions and details of the knitting process will make mastering the machine simple and affordable. Its functionality depends on the type and model of the machine (what types of patterns and canvases can be knitted, how quickly).
Step 4
Link the design sample. The point of making a sample is to compare the intended and real dimensions of the pattern. Keep in mind that the machine will stretch the yarn and the knitting density at the edges and in the middle of the garment will be different. The edges of the canvas will also be uneven. Work 40 stitches wide x 40 rows high. Steam the finished square or wash, iron and calculate the density. Calculate the loop test immediately - you will find out how many loops are there per 1 centimeter of knitting. Use this data when counting the number of buttonholes for patterns.
Step 5
Try knitting a simple canvas. After studying the instructions and basic knitting techniques, proceed to the first tests. Tie the fabric with longitudinal or transverse stripes. Such patterns look especially impressive from melange yarn, which can be obtained by winding several skeins of the same color.
Step 6
Tie a tank top. This is a simple product and should not be difficult to manufacture. You can knit sweaters, dresses and other things on the machine after acquiring basic skills. Tie two sleeveless pieces and sew them together.
