Cross stitch is one of the oldest types of needlework, which is carried away by many women around the world. All that is needed for embroidery is patience, patience and more patience. If you don't know where to start, then start by choosing a schema and decrypting it.
It is necessary
- Embroidery scheme;
- Canvas;
- Hoop;
- Floss threads of all colors indicated in the scheme;
- A needle with a wide eye.
Instructions
Step 1
Hoop the canvas and place the outline in front of you.
Step 2
Determine by the symbols which thread color is used in the upper left square and adjacent to it. Take a skein of the corresponding color.
Step 3
Cut off about 50-60 cm of floss. Please note that one thread consists of 6 thinner ones. Separate three threads and insert into a needle.
Step 4
Insert a needle into the lower left hole of the upper left square. Leave a small ponytail (2-5 cm) on the inside. Enter the upper right hole of the square and pull the thread so that the ponytail on the wrong side does not shrink.
Step 5
Sew with these stitches from left to right as many squares as indicated by the symbol of this color on the diagram.
Step 6
Thread the needle into the lower right hole of the far right square and thread through the upper left hole. Sew the same squares in reverse with these stitches.
Step 7
Sew the second row from the top in the same way. If the color changes there, take threads of a different color.
