Beads made from colored wool have become so popular that they are not only handcrafted, but also commercially produced. But even in such conditions, hand-made things have retained their value. After mastering the technology of felting, you can make jewelry, the design of which is unique.

Instructions
Step 1
Divide the wool for felting into separate strands and separate with your hands into fine fibers, then tear into smaller pieces. This is to ensure that the coat rolls back more evenly.
Step 2
Form a ball of wool. It should be about a third larger than the size of the finished bead. Roll the ball between your palms and place it on a foam sponge or felting brush. The end of the top strand should be on top.
Step 3
Using a special felting needle, carefully pierce the bead several times at the level of the tail of the strand. Usually, 5-7 injections are enough to fix the material - the ball will no longer unwind.
Step 4
You can continue to roll the bead in the same way - evenly covering the surface of the ball with pricks until it becomes dense and reaches the desired size. If you want to speed up the process, complete the wet felting technique. To do this, prepare a container with very warm water and soap.
Step 5
Lower the bead blank onto the surface of the water and roll it over it. As a result, only the top layer of the coat should get wet. Lather your hands and roll the bead between your fingers. You need to dump the material until the wool becomes homogeneous - it stops flaking if you pinch the bead.
Step 6
Wet the ball more so that it is completely saturated with water. Continue rolling it between your palms, gradually increasing the pressure and remembering to lather.
Step 7
Rinse the finished bead under running water. Feel free to wring it out to remove any soap suds. If the item is slightly deformed, shape it with wet fingers.
Step 8
Major flaws can be corrected when the bead is dry. Add small pieces of wool to the depressions in the surface and weld with a needle.
Step 9
To make a multi-colored bead, mix different shades of wool in the very first step, when folding the strands. To add color to a nearly finished solid color bead, wrap the colored woolen thread around it and keep rolling.
Step 10
Thread the finished beads onto a cord or ribbon using a gypsy needle and thimble.
