The skull is the part of the skeleton that is most interesting for children of any age. Every kid, imagining an island of treasures or pirates, will always be the first to name an irreplaceable attribute present in all films - a skull. Many children just dream of having this unique figure, but they have no idea how to make a skull.
It is necessary
Plasticine or sculptural clay, white wrapping paper, paper napkins, PVA glue, a balloon, a graphic drawing of a skull, paraffin or vegetable oil, a saucer, scissors, water
Instructions
Step 1
Take the sketch of the skull. This will be a kind of visual aid for you. Such a drawing can be found on the Internet and printed, taken from any magazine or book about pirates, or you can draw it yourself on a piece of paper.
Step 2
Start making the "blank" itself. Sculpt the base according to the picture. If you are sculpting a skull out of clay, the clay "blank" must be put to dry for several days after work (2-3, depending on the solution).
Step 3
Take a skull blank and treat its surface with vegetable oil or paraffin. Tear paper napkins into small pieces, put the pieces in a saucer of water for a few seconds. Divide the product into two parts mentally (the back of the head and the front part). Take the soggy pieces of tissue paper and apply them to one part of the skull.
Step 4
Cover the back of the head with napkins, and cover the front, leaving eye sockets and holes for the nose and mouth. The base of the skull should not be pasted over. Let the workpiece dry after applying the first layer of napkins. All water must drain.
Step 5
Take a generous amount of glue on a wrapping paper and apply it in a second coat after the paper towels. Dry the workpiece (1 day).
Step 6
Apply a third layer, the same as the previous one, out of wrapping paper and glue. Dry the workpiece (1 day). Then remove the resulting blank from the "blank" and paste over the second part of the skull according to the same principle. Align both halves of the skull.
Step 7
Trim uneven edges with scissors as needed. Fasten the two pieces along the seam with strips of wrapping paper and PVA glue. This must be done both outside the skull and inside. Dry again.
Step 8
Fill the seams and grooves with small pieces of wrapping paper, and make paper edging of the edges. Touch up all the holes for the eye sockets, mouth and nose. Cover the entire skull with PVA glue and set to dry.
Step 9
Apply a coat of paint of the desired color to the resulting skull and let dry. It is best to use water-based paint here. Cover the craft with varnish.
