Even if it never snowed outside the window, on the eve of the New Year holidays, you need to create a winter mood for yourself. To do this, it is enough to decorate the apartment with unusual graceful handmade snowflakes.
It is necessary
- - double-sided colored paper;
- - scissors;
- - pencil or PVA glue;
- - feathers are white;
- - wire;
- - glitter gel for decorating postcards;
- - beads, transparent beads;
- - napkins.
Instructions
Step 1
Create a unique snowflake using the quilling technique. To do this, cut (or purchase ready-made sets) paper into strips of the same width. The essence of the technique boils down to the fact that the paper is curled and laid on the edge, seized in certain places with glue, and the image is made up of curls, twisted parts. Start with six identical beams coiled from paper, add twisted parts to them. Use scissors to create curls. The main rule is that the finished product must be symmetrical. Such snowflakes look great on a Christmas tree, on interior items.
Step 2
Weave a frame of a snowflake from a light elastic wire. Cut three or four identical pieces, fold them so that the middle lies at the same point. Interlace the wire in this place, fix it. You will have six or eight rays. Next, according to the principle of a spider web, wrap around the snowflake, departing from the center 0.5-1 cm. Create a complex pattern using a wire, try to keep the pattern the same between each pair of rays. When the frame of the snowflake is ready, attach a thread to one beam, hang it. Coat generously with postcard glitter gel (available from office supplies). When the gel is dry, repeat the operation so many times until the entire snowflake is covered with sparkles. When weaving, you can use beads. Decorate the ends of the rays with transparent glass beads, fix them with glue.
Step 3
Cut out a traditional snowflake, but use a napkin made of pressed textured paper instead of white paper. Fold the prepared square diagonally, then again and again relative to the center. Cut out intricate patterns, try to keep the snowflake in delicate curly weaves. Smooth out the snowflake gently. Glue white feathers to the ends of the napkin. Use clear glue. Such snowflakes look good on windows, but they are not suitable for decorating a Christmas tree - they are too thin.
