Homemade paper snowflakes are constant companions of the New Year's holidays. The popularity of these Christmas tree and interior decorations is due to the ease of manufacture and the availability of materials. A piece of paper, scissors, a little imagination - and even an inexperienced decorator will create a magnificent decoration. It doesn't matter if the homemade products get wrinkled or torn - you can make dozens of new ones in one evening. The main thing is to carefully and beautifully cut the snowflakes.

It is necessary

  • - paper sheets of different colors and textures or foil according to the number of snowflakes;
  • - scissors;
  • - pencil;
  • - ruler;
  • - stapler.

Instructions

Step 1

Find the right material for making Christmas snowflakes. These can be simple landscape sheets or writing, colored paper. Alternatively, you can use foil as well as other decorative material. If you want to get delicate, weightless (though disposable), velvety snowflakes, take white and blue paper napkins.

Step 2

Consider the look of your Christmas tree decoration. You can make snowflakes with neat, symmetrical patterns by folding a sheet of paper several times, making elaborate cuts and expanding the blank. The number of folds will determine how many rays your snowflake will get.

Step 3

Try to make the simplest carved figure. Fold a square sheet along the central diagonal line, and fold the resulting triangular shape in half. Draw a pattern on one side of the workpiece and make cuts along the marked lines. Expand the finished snowflake.

Step 4

Bend the paper sheet (it should always have equal sides!) In one order or another. So, for a snowflake with a lot of rays, you need to follow the pattern of step # 3, only increase the number of folds. You can complete the original shape this way: bend the square into a two-layer triangle; bend the left and then the right edges of the figure to the front side; fold the resulting "little bag" in half. Trim the base of the shape to create a layered triangle, outline and cut out the pattern. Spread out the product.

Step 5

Make more voluminous, bold, multi-piece Christmas decorations. You need six square sheets of paper. Fold two-layer triangles out of them and draw lines for future cuts on them. Step back from one edge of the figure about 1-1.5 cm and draw a triangle without a top with a pencil and a ruler; inside it is the second triangle; draw the third in the same pattern. Also arrange all the blanks.

Step 6

Make cuts along the outline, but not solid ones - leave the tops of the drawn shapes intact. After that, unfold the square blanks, lay each diagonally in the form of a diamond and roll the central part into a pipe. Staple it together and turn the square over. Form a tube from the second row of strips. Next, follow the pattern until you get a volumetric petal-ray of a snowflake.

Step 7

Form all the components of the New Year's decoration and connect them together in the form of a snowflake inflorescence. In order for the hand-made product to keep its shape well, fasten the center of the volumetric decoration and the joints of adjacent rays with a stapler.
