To cheer up the New Year, many decorate their homes with various decorative elements that remind them of the approaching holiday. Snowflakes on windows are the simplest and cheapest decoration; it doesn't take much time to create original patterns on glass.
It is necessary
- - Toothpaste;
- - notebook sheets;
- - scissors;
- - pulverizer with water;
- - sponge for washing dishes.
Instructions
Step 1
The first step is to cut the snowflakes out of the paper. The size and shape of the snowflakes can be any, it's a matter of taste. The only thing to consider is the density of the paper, for creativity it is better to use not very thick paper so that it can easily stick to the glass. At the same time, it is also undesirable to use too thin (for example, napkins), since it can break at the most inopportune moment.
In general, at present you can buy very interesting snowflake stencils in stores, they adhere perfectly to all surfaces, so you can use them as well.
Step 2
After the snowflakes have been cut, wipe the window with a clean cloth and dampen it with spray water. While the glass is wet, place the cut out snowflakes on top of it. Blot the window with a dry towel.
Step 3
Squeeze out a little toothpaste into any cup or plate, add water to it (1 to 1), mix everything well. In general, the amount of water can be varied, but it is worth remembering that the more you add, the less saturated in color the paste solution will be.
Step 4
Soak a sponge in water, take a little toothpaste solution on it, then blot all the glued snowflakes with gentle pressing movements.
It is worth noting that the pattern looks especially impressive if the snowflakes are glued in one part of the window (for example, in the upper or lower corner), while the whole part of the glass is processed with paste, simulating its freezing.
Step 5
Without waiting for the toothpaste to dry, remove the paper snowflakes from the glass. Do this carefully so as not to smudge the drawing. New Year's decor is ready.
