Seasoned anglers know that fishing from a boat greatly increases the chances of bringing home a good catch. And what can be more important for a fisherman than good fish trophies ?! Choosing a boat is not an easy and responsible business.
The choice of a boat for fishing is determined by many factors. First of all, you need to decide how you are going to get to the reservoir. There are two ways:
- by car;
- using public transport.
If you get to the lake with your car, then you can choose a more comfortable and therefore heavier boat. These boats have three modification options:
- duralumin or plastic boats (not collapsible);
- rubber or PVC, boats without a motor;
- rubber or PVC boats with a motor attachment.
If you have purchased a mobile boat without an adaptation for a motor, you do not need to register it with the State Inspection for Small Vessels under the Ministry of Emergency Situations in your region. If you have a boat with an adaptation for a motor, then you need to register it with the State Inspection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in your place of residence, otherwise you may receive a fine from the inspector of the State Inspection Service of the Ministry of Emergencies from 1000 to 2000 thousand rubles with the temporary confiscation of the boat. It should also be remembered that the motor on such a boat can only be used with a power of up to 8 kW. If the engine is more powerful, then you will have to complete the boatmaster's courses, otherwise you may again be fined a significant amount.
Also, after registering such a boat with GIMS, do not forget to write the number issued to you on board in compliance with the current requirements.
If you go fishing using public transport, then you have to weigh every kilogram of equipment, and therefore you have to put up with the small weight of the boat and the lack of comfort and capacity.
The best way is to choose a single-seat boat. It is recommended to choose a model with a plug-in seat and an inflatable bottom: they are better able to withstand the excitement on the lake.
Of all the variety of materials, give preference to PVC boats, because they are the least demanding on storage conditions. Such boats:
- can be stored at low temperatures;
- you can not dry thoroughly;
- do not sprinkle talcum powder for the winter, since PVC, unlike rubber, does not "chew" and does not allow air to pass through the seams.
If you will be fishing from a boat together, it is recommended to choose a boat with two insert seats, as it is more stable than boats with inflatable seat cushions. But, however, such a boat costs a little more.
Also, do not forget about additional safety measures, since according to the norms of the State Inspection of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, each floating vessel must have life jackets according to the number of passengers. This also applies to inflatable boats, so when purchasing a boat, take the trouble to purchase components as well.
When choosing a boat on the modern market, there are many models of both domestic and foreign production. Basically, their difference lies in the brand and country of the manufacturer, but in terms of their characteristics they are approximately the same. So choose a boat that suits you and do not pay attention to the manufacturer's firm.
