Andrey Malakhov was born on January 11, 1972 in the city of Apatity, Murmansk region. He graduated from high school with a silver medal, went to Moscow and entered the Faculty of Journalism at Moscow State University. Malakhov also received a musical education in the violin class, however, according to the journalist himself, he did not like studying at a music school at all.

While studying at Moscow State University, Andrey went on an internship in the United States. He was supposed to study for a year at the journalism department of the University of Michigan. Students from Russia at that time were entitled to a scholarship of $ 200 per month. Of course, you can't rent a house with that kind of money in the United States, and it's hard to get saturated. Malakhov had to look for a part-time job.

Andrei was sent to local television in Detroit, which was one of the divisions of the famous Paramount Pictures. This work allowed him to rent a separate apartment and feel more confident. From now on, Malakhov was not a poor student, but a completely successful foreigner.

Upon his return to Moscow, Malakhov found a part-time job in Ostankino. He translated CNN news into Russian. Andrei still recalls that it was extremely difficult for him to combine work and study at Moscow State University.

Andrey Malakhov graduated from Moscow State University in 1995 with honors and began working as an editor of the international information program "Morning", as well as the author and host of the "Style" column.

After that, he was a correspondent for the Directorate of Information Programs on Channel One. Since 1996, Malakhov has become the host of the Good Morning program.

In 1998, Andrei Malakhov decides to get a second higher education. He enters the law faculty of the Russian State University for the Humanities.
