Bill Cipher's appearance

Bill is a demon, and his appearance is not at all similar to what people are used to seeing. At first glance, this character looks like a flying triangle with arms and legs, but if you look closely, then everything becomes much more interesting. It is easy to guess that the outward appearance of the Cipher contains all the most mystical that humanity has ever encountered.

The triangular shape is a reference to the pyramids that were built in Ancient Egypt. Scientists and historians have still not been able to explain with accuracy what the pyramids were used for, except for burial. Theories were very different, but almost all of them sounded fantastic and even insane. Aliens have even been associated with the pyramids.

Bill has one eye. Lovers of secrets immediately noticed in it a reference to Masonic symbolism.

Cipher does not wear clothes, but he is always wearing a top hat and bow tie.

The demon is able to move the arms and legs around the case. If the character is angry, it changes color from yellow to red. Bill also knows how to change the size of his body: from tiny to huge.

Character

Despite the fact that Bill Cipher is a negative character, it is impossible to call him evil. Bill is neutral, he has his own goals and desires that are not clear to most of the inhabitants of Gravity Falls.

If you have watched the animated series, then you should remember that Bill is very cunning, and it is better not to make deals with him. Even if the conditions look favorable, the demon turns everything in his favor. Thus, Cipher managed to deceive Ford and Dipper's uncle. It is possible that there were others who were deceived, but this is not shown in the series.

From the first appearances of Bill in the cartoon, it becomes clear that the character has an extremely strange sense of humor, which a person cannot understand.

Shifr's speech is fast, he almost chatters.

Biography

Bill is very old. He saw the birth of the world and tried to have a hand in its death. Bill was born in two dimensions. Shifr's attitude to his native land can be understood from the quote from Gravity Falls: "the place of flat minds with flat dreams." This is how Bill Cipher spoke of his home.

With the help of innate talents, the demon was able to leave his native dimension, but did not stop there. Bill destroyed his family: parents and brothers, and with them the whole dimension.

Bill wandered around the worlds and universes for a long time, until he learned about the dimension of nightmares and about the three-dimensional dimension in which the cartoon characters live. Cipher learned that these two dimensions can be combined. This knowledge made the character almost possessed. The task that Bill wanted so badly was not easy.

First, he needed to materialize himself in order to break out into a three-dimensional dimension. Without a body, Bill Cipher could only roam the dreams of people.

The first victim of Bill was a shaman, whose tribe lived hundreds of years before the events of the series in the territory of Gravity Falls. With the help of the gift of persuasion, Cipher persuaded the shaman to build a gate that would let the demon into the three-dimensional dimension. The shaman turned out to be more shrewd than Bill had hoped, so nothing came of it. The shaman destroyed the gate, and then committed suicide. After this event, the tribe left the territory of Gravity Falls. For centuries this land was considered cursed.

Time passed, and at the end of the 20th century, Bill had a chance again. Stanford Pines, while still a young and ambitious scientist, studied anomalies in Gravity Falls. One day, Pines stumbled upon a cave in which he found a message. It spoke of an entity that knows the answers to all questions. Ignoring the warnings, Stanford summoned the demon.

Bill pretended to be the muse of all great minds. History had to repeat itself. Pines, along with an assistant, were supposed to create a new portal to another dimension, but they never completed the work. Stanford spent the next few years in fear. He refuses research and hides the instructions for the portal.

For 30 years, Bill Cipher has been waiting for the moment when the portal becomes active again and creates a crack between the worlds.

In the last episodes of the cartoon, Bill bursts into a three-dimensional dimension with his friends, but realizes that the plan did not work as expected. The demons were trapped in Gravity Falls due to a protective barrier.

How to summon Bill Cipher

To summon, you need an image of the victim. Place 8 candles around the photo or picture, and then read the incantation: "Triangulum, entangulum. Veneforis dominus ventium. Veneforis venetisarium!".

The summoner's eyes will glow with blue fire. The sky is covered with gray clouds. After that, you need to say: "Backwards message" five times. Then the yellow triangle materializes, and then the demon itself.

Bill's abilities

The cipher is a skillful manipulator. This is noticeable not only in the dialogues in which he participates, but also in his role in the plot. Bill is able to create nightmares and hallucinations, distort the space around him. If Bill got into someone else's mind, then there are practically no boundaries for him. In someone else's mind, Cipher can find any information he needs, create false memories.

In addition, Bill can force a person's soul to leave the body. In this case, Cipher will take the place of the expelled soul.

At first, Bill's abilities are not terrifying, because it is quite possible to cope with them. However, the destruction of the interdimensional rift changes everything. After these events, Cipher becomes almost omnipotent. Now he can change real space, like the mind of a person.

For example, with new powers, Bill managed to put Mabel to sleep with a snap of his fingers.

Weaknesses

Bill Cipher can get into someone else's mind only if a person has made a deal with him. In the mind, Bill cannot do real harm. You can save a person from him with the help of a memory eraser.
