If you need to make an inexpensive but original gift, paint a beautiful painting with gouache. It is much easier than painting with oils or watercolors and takes very little time.

It is necessary

  • - paper;
  • - gouache in 12 colors;
  • - flat brushes;
  • - water;
  • - plastic card;
  • - palette.

Instructions

Step 1

Take a sheet of A3 paper, a regular gouache with enough white paint to create a winter landscape. A palette knife, if you do not have one, can be made from a plastic card you do not need by cutting off a strip from it. Create the desired background shade by mixing blue and white. Apply it to paper. From a mixture of blue, purple and white, you get the color of distant mountains. Put this paint in bold strokes, made obliquely from top to bottom, with a palette knife. It's good if the layer turns out to be voluminous, it will dry longer, but it will look much better

Step 2

Shape the mountains with light paint. Apply completely white from the side from which the light falls, using the same palette knife. On the other side of the mountain, make it a little darker - mix white with dark tones (blue, green, purple). The ridges are light; use a wide brush to mark the presence of clouds and the uneven color of the sky. Smoky purple shadows lie at the foot of the mountains

Step 3

Paint spruce trees with dark green paint, simply, without special care, putting strokes. Don't think about details, just draw the outlines and the shapes of the trees themselves

Step 4

In front of the mountains, sketch out a strip of distant forest. Make the paint for this from green mixed with black and whiten a little. Use a wide white paintbrush to paint the snow onto the tiers of spruce branches, simply poking around with the brush, depicting randomly falling flakes. To balance the winter landscape, paint on the other side of the bushes and trees in the same way as the fir trees

Step 5

With brushstrokes of a little dried white paint, depict a blizzard and whirlwinds of wind with snow. Decorate the hills and distant forest - step away from the painting and see what needs work. Such a beautiful landscape can be painted without any artistic experience. Autumn forest, summer meadow is also easy to depict with gouache.
