The cheerful duckling Donald pleases modern kids as much as their parents once did. Why not come up with new adventures for him? To draw a hero of a popular cartoon, it is not necessary to master the technique of academic drawing and strictly observe the laws of perspective, because Donald Duck can take the most incredible poses.
Where to begin
The phased drawing technique is convenient in that it allows you to build an image from separate parts. You can start drawing with any detail, but first you need to take care of the tools. You need a sheet of A4 white paper and a medium-hard pencil. At first, an eraser will not hurt either, although it is better to immediately learn to do without it.
Look at the picture of Donald Duck and try to identify the most characteristic body parts of this hero. You can start, for example, with the eyes. Draw two elongated ovals. The long axles should be nearly vertical. The oval located further from the viewer will be somewhat narrower and shorter. Draw irises in the lower parts of both ovals; they are round and dark for the duck. Shade the circles, leaving small white spots.
Head and shoulders
Draw the outlines of the head. It most of all resembles a pear, in which the narrow part is at the bottom. Draw such a pear. The line doesn't have to be solid. If you are not very confident in your abilities, draw a very thin outline. Draw two very short parallel stripes to the chin - the neck. Draw a line for the shoulders and arms. The contour of the upper torso is very similar to the top of a top.
Stomach
Under the line of the shoulders, stepping back a distance approximately equal to the height of the head, draw an arc. Its convex part should point to the lower right corner. Mark the position of the legs by drawing 2 pairs of short stripes. In pairs, these strokes are parallel. Divide the distance from the eyes to the chin approximately in half. Outline the beak. It is wide and flat for a duck, most of all resembles a cap visor.
Mouth and neckline
Draw the mouth. The lower part of it runs parallel to the contour line of the head. Draw the neckline of the jacket. It has the shape of an acute angle. Place the wings in the desired position. For example, a duckling stands akimbo. Sketch out the contours of the tail - 2-3 cloves, bent upward.
Details
Donald the duckling often wears a sailor's peakless cap. In the picture, it usually has the shape of an irregular oval with uneven edges. There is a ribbon on the back of the peakless cap - it can be drawn in the form of a rectangle. Draw the paws. They are just irregular spots.
Transfer the folds of the garment. It can be 2-3 uneven strokes on the armpit or on the inside of the elbow. To convey facial expressions, you need to draw short arcs above the eyes, as well as several diverging strokes coming from the corner of the mouth. The duckling is ready. The contours can be outlined with a softer pencil. Don't forget to remove the extra lines.
