It is not easy to portray a panther, especially in motion. There are several rules that will make this process easier for those who are just starting to draw. To do this, you need to break the panther's body into parts and then join them into one.

Step 1
The first step in drawing a panther is to create three circles that correspond to the panther's pelvic area, shoulder girdle and head. To do this, you need to draw an axis on which the centers of two circles are located - the large rear part and the smaller front. The head does not need to be on the axis.
Step 2
You can immediately draw a tail. The panther's paws are initially outlined by ovals. Each leg has three ovals. On the hind legs, the oval corresponding to the thigh is much larger. Correct placement of the ovals in relation to each other will help create the appearance of the panther's movement. You can immediately draw a line of the spine.
Step 3
Then the paws are drawn. The ovals corresponding to the front legs are outlined. The hind legs are drawn more carefully. This is the hardest part of the job. As a result, the paw may move slightly relative to the auxiliary ovals. In order to make the paws more natural, you can watch domestic cats.
Step 4
Now you can cut off the excess on the panther's stomach and take care of her head. For this, an auxiliary circle is drawn at the bottom of the circle corresponding to the head, in it you can immediately outline the nose. And the circle of the head narrows to an oval. The ears will not undergo significant changes in the future, so you can give them the final look.
Step 5
Before drawing with paints or colored pencils, you must carefully remove the excess traces of a simple pencil with an eraser. The color should emphasize the face and nose of the panther, the folds of the paws and the curve of the back. The difficulty lies in the fact that the panther is all black, so you can mix black with brown, blue and yellow to get different shades.
