The art of collage making is an addictive and interesting hobby that does not require a computer if you are going to make a collage using traditional technology, using different images and gluing them together into a single composition. With a wide variety of pictures, photographs, magazine clippings and newspaper snippets, you can create true works of art with your own color scheme and atmosphere.
Instructions
Step 1
Think about what you want to see in the finished collage and what goal you want to achieve.
Step 2
Take as a base a large sheet of thick cardboard or Whatman paper, and you will also need paper of a solid background color, scissors with sharp blades, a stationery knife and stationery glue.
Step 3
Collage making is a creative process and fantasy. Come up with the main theme of the collage and, armed with scissors, do a selection of fragments.
Step 4
For example, if you want to make a collage on the theme of a memorable holiday event, remember what you associate with it and use everything you remember - postcards, photographs, dried flowers, feathers, pieces of fabric, foil, and even candy wrappers.
Step 5
If you wish, you can decorate the glued fragments with paint and a brush, completing some elements.
Step 6
Glue beads, sequins, cords or braid to the base of the collage, combine fabric elements and clippings from glossy magazines, photographs, black and white phrases from newspapers.
Step 7
You can add some phrases and statements by hand with a felt-tip pen, paints or ink.
Step 8
Scan the finished collage for uniformity and print on a color plotter - this will give it uniformity and make it a ready-made full-fledged design work. Collage can become not only a means of expressing your emotions, but also an excellent birthday present for a friend, reminding of memorable moments of your friendship, decorating a family living room and an original souvenir for friends and acquaintances.
