So, you decided to create your own text game and will soon become the administrator of your role-playing world. For a start, it would be nice for you to find yourself one or two assistants, since there is enough work to be done.

If you want to make a game according to your original world, you must carefully think over and paint the structure of the world, its rules, culture and values. If you are doing a test role-playing based on a book, anime or movie, carefully study the universe you have chosen. As an administrator, you should know everything - the abilities of the characters who will be playing, the spells used.

Write the plot of the game. For example, you can choose one battle from a book, or another bright event that you like. In the plot, you must, in addition to the general information contained in the primary source, indicate what the main characters are doing at this time, what goals are pursued by the opposing sides, what the characters are planning to take in order to resolve the conflict.

Compose forum rules and a questionnaire template. The rules of various text games are very similar, you can look at them on any game forum and, taking them as a basis, write your own. In the questionnaire, it is necessary to create a list of questions that must be answered by players applying for the role of a character. Usually, in the application form, they write the name, race and age of the character, describe the appearance, character and skills. It is best if, along with the questionnaire, you post an example of filling out.

When the text part is ready, you can create a forum where the game will take place. There are several free servers on the Internet (for example, a board). If you know how to write websites, you can create a unique design with your own color scheme, logo and buttons. If not, don't be discouraged, you can pick up a standard template. In the end, the design of the forum is not the main thing.
Step 6
Divide the forum into sections and post information. Do not throw everything together, leave one section for game-technical information - the plot, rules, a list of required characters. Let the questionnaires be considered in another section. Divide your world into several locations and create a separate theme for each of them. Be sure to create a topic of conversation so that players don't chat about life while playing. At this point, your text game is ready to receive visitors.
