Early years and theater career

Angelica Gennadievna Volchkova was born in Penza on September 10, 1970. Her path of becoming a talented artist began in childhood. Young Angelica actively participated in school performances, attracting the attention of the audience. Love for the theater forced her to enter the theater department at the Saratov State Conservatory after graduation. After graduating from basic training, Angelica Volchkova continued to learn acting from such eminent masters as Joseph Raikhelgauz and Marlen Khutsiev, who taught at the Gerasimov VGIK.

After receiving her diploma, Volchkova began her professional creative activity. In 1998, she began working at the Moscow theater "School of Modern Play", to which she remained faithful for over twenty years. According to all her art directors and theater artists, Angelica was in her own way a unique artist - intelligent and patient. In any situation, she remained kind and charming, brilliantly improvised and masterfully mastered her voice, was the real soul of any team.

The artist talentedly “tried on” various images on herself. At the same time, she confidently held on to pointe shoes and even taught at a theatrical choreographic studio. She always liked the roles of comedic characters and people with character. Angelica managed to successfully get used to them, and she found the strongest sides in her characters. She completely surrendered herself to the audience in her work, and the highest reward for her efforts was live contact with them, gratitude and emotions from the surrounding society.

Success on stage and in cinema

Thanks to the talent highly appreciated by the audience and critics. In 2004, Angelica Volchkova was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation. A little later, she refused the title of "People's Artist" of her own free will, despite objections and return requests from the leadership.

Since 2003, Angelica Volchkova began to show herself in cinema and got her first role in the television series "The Return of Mukhtar", which was shown on central channels for a long time. The directors and producers immediately noticed the young and promising artist, therefore, starting with minor roles in the second and third plan, Volchkova switched to the main characters. She starred in the films "The Artist", "You Can't Forget Love", "Fairy Tale", in the TV series "The Thunders. House of Hope”,“Londongrad. Know ours!”,“Bachelors”and many others. All of them were successfully shown on Russian television.

Personal life and illness

The artist practically did not tell the press and fans about her personal life. It is still unknown whether she was married, whether she maintained relations with her loved ones, whether she had children. At the end of 2016, it became known that Angelica Volchkova fell seriously ill and retired from creative activity. Despite the support of friends and colleagues at work, she could not cope with the disease, and the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation died at the age of 47.

The doctors of the Moscow clinic in which Angelica Volchkova was treated did not say what kind of illness the theater and film actress had. Until the last moment she tried not to let journalists and just curious persons approach her personal life. The death of the artist was announced to the public by her partner in the theater stage, Kirill Emelyanov. According to him, Angelica died on April 8, 2018 at 00:05 Moscow time. The private funeral of a talented representative of the Russian theater and cinema scene took place a few days later in the city of Penza.
