"Brumstick" is an interesting and original knitting technique. Presumably the name of the pattern comes from the English word broomstick, which translates as "broom", "pomelo". The really elongated loops of the pattern are somewhat reminiscent of a broom. They look impressive. The broomstick pattern can be used to knit a beautiful cardigan, coat or unusual jumper.
It is necessary
A pair of knitting needles, yarn
Instructions
Step 1
Cast on 37 loops on the needles (two of them are edging).
Step 2
Knit two rows (excluding the typesetting row): 1 row: purl, 2 front row.
Step 3
In row 3, we start forming long loops. Remove 1 loop of the row as an edge loop. Insert the right knitting needle into the second loop.
Step 4
We wrap the knitting needle with a thread from right to left five times (that is, we make five yarns).
Step 5
We stretch the yarns through the loop. In total, 6 loops are obtained on the right knitting needle.
Step 6
We insert the knitting needle into the second loop, make five yarns and pull them through the loop. There are 11 loops in total on the right needle. We continue to knit, repeating step 4-5. We knit the last loop of the row (37th) with a purl loop.
Step 7
In the fourth row (front), dissolve the yarns. Insert a knitting needle into a loop of 5 yarns.
Step 8
We lower the yarns from the knitting needles and get a long loop.
Step 9
We transfer all long loops to the left knitting needle.
Step 10
Insert the right knitting needle into 7 long stitches (fold seven stitches together).
Step 11
We collect 7 loops: we knit one loop from a long loop, 1 yarn, we knit one loop from a long loop, 1 yarn, we knit one loop from a long loop, 1 yarn, we knit one loop from a long loop.
Step 12
We continue to knit to the end of the row, repeating step 11. Knit the last edge loop with the front loop.
Step 13
We knit two rows, one purl row, one front row.
Step 14
Repeat steps 3-11.
Step 15
Here is such a canvas.
