When depicting the figure of a warrior on a sheet of paper, decide not only on the uniform of your character, but also on his pose. The drawing will be more accurate and clear if you know who you are drawing.
It is necessary
A sheet of paper, a simple pencil, an eraser
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare the materials you need for the job. Before drawing, look on the Internet for images of warriors, knights, soldiers. Select the drawing (photo) you like and study it carefully. Pay attention to the war's equipment, his face, figure. It is not at all necessary to convey the exact found image, you can create your own character.
Step 2
Place the sheet of paper vertically or horizontally, depending on the position of the figure. With a simple pencil, thin lines, start sketching. If the line does not come out the way you need it - it's okay, do not rush to erase it with an eraser. It is better to outline the correct direction with a few strokes, and then use the eraser to refine it.
Step 3
Start sketching out the semi-ovals, defining the body and head with them. Then mark with "sausages" the arms and legs of the warrior. If the warrior is wearing armor, then already at this stage, designate them on the sketch. Mark the boundaries of the chain mail, carapace, helmet, mittens and more. If your warrior is not in armor, then continue to refine the sketch of the figure. Check the minimum proportions (the head fits into the body seven times). Draw a midline for the body.
Step 4
If the drawing requires it, place the weapon in the hands of the warrior, also slightly outlining it. Start drawing the body from top to bottom. Specify the details of the headgear (helmet, cocked hat, high hat, hard hat). Next, sketch out the details of the face. Draw out outerwear - tunic, jacket, chain mail and so on. Each type of clothing has its own characteristics. Explore these clothes from the pictures on the Internet. Next, sketch out the legs and shoes.
Step 5
Use the eraser to erase unnecessary, auxiliary and hidden lines. Then draw the details of the clothes. Pay attention to folds, ribbons, awards, joints of iron sheets (if it is armor), and so on. Mark the shadow with light shading along the shape of the body. Outline the background slightly, having thought it over in advance - a forest, a battlefield, and so on.
Step 6
Optionally, you can complete the hatching of the object. Otherwise, you can only slightly shade the shadow, clean the light side of the figure with an eraser and draw the foreground with a sharpened pencil and highlight some clear lines. Do the shading according to the shape of the body gradually, going down from top to bottom. In the course of work, somewhere adding light with an eraser, somewhere shadows with a strong press of the pencil.
