Instructions
Step 1
Fold the leather patches together, with the outer smooth surfaces facing each other. On the inside of the patches, mark with chalk or soap where the handle and bottom of the bag will be. Circle the top side of the future bag with a beautiful wave. Carefully cut out the handle and trim the top edge of the bag along the outline.
Step 2
Choose a sturdy thread to match your skin tone. Sew the top edge with a large stitch. Tie the handle of the future bag with a decorative stitch. This option will look stylish and will not allow the handle to tear or stretch.
Step 3
Attach a large decorative brooch to the front of one of the leather scraps. It is this side that will become the "face" of the bag. The brooch should be chosen taking into account the color and purpose of the future bag. A brooch matched in the same style with the shoes that you intend to wear along with your new handbag will look very relevant.
Step 4
Glue the inside pockets of the bag, cut from the thick lining, to the inside of the brooch flap. To make a pocket for a mobile phone easy to use, make it 9x12 cm, and for a wallet 20x15 cm. These pockets are best placed in a row one below the other. The backing fabric should also be glued to the other side of the bag. Position this fabric so that the entire inside of the bag is covered by the lining.
Step 5
Sew the two halves of the bag together from the wrong side. Sew the sides and bottom of the bag using a zigzag stitch. Re-suturing is recommended for strength.
