A good leather wallet of a well-known manufacturer does not need decoration, but a textile product can be turned into an exclusive vintage item using beads, pieces of leather or lace.

Step 1
Decorate an old leather wallet with an applique made from pieces of suede and leather. To do this, carefully open one of the seams of the product. Cut out a motif for applique from colored pieces of leather - hearts, leaves, apples. Choose the figurines to your liking, as long as they do not have sharp edges. Lay out the details on the surface of the wallet. If you chose leaves and hearts as a motive, lay a neat seam along the line of symmetry, at the leaves, bring the seam outside the leather part, it will symbolize the stalk. The lateral parts of the leaf or heart should bend freely. The flowers can be sewn to the wallet using the matching buttons. Sew the hole that was made for easy sewing.
Step 2
Create a real grandma's reticule if you have an old purse with beaded clasps. If it is already worn out in order, make a pattern for new parts, lay a side seam, and carefully sew it to the fastener bar with blind stitches. As an external material, you can choose guipure and satin, superimpose them on top of each other. You can use thin lace instead of guipure. Don't forget to sew a soft fabric lining into this eclectic wallet. As a decoration, you can use small transparent beads, just sew them on the lace fabric in a chaotic manner.
Step 3
Stitch a finished wallet made of textile material. To create a pattern, use beads, sequins and metallic floss of suitable shades. Draw a pattern on paper. These can be flowers, dragons or "Turkish cucumbers". In order not to make unnecessary knots, thread the thread into the needle, pick up a couple of threads of the material from which the wallet is sewn. Withdraw the needle, pull out the thread. Insert both ends into the eye of the needle and start sewing. Do not pierce through the product while sewing on beads and sequins, just grab a few threads of the material. Hide the end under the sequin, secure.
