Monstera is the real queen of indoor plants. Its carved leaves will adorn any apartment, greenhouse or even a garden. Like any other plant, monstera signals us about improper care of it, but if the problem is recognized in time, then this magnificent plant will delight the grower for many years.

Step 1
Leaves "cry".
The formation of moisture on monstera leaves signals that the soil is too moist. Give the plant some rest - increase the intervals between waterings.
Step 2
Decay of stems.
In winter, due to excess moisture and low temperature, a mushroom multiplies on the stems of the monstera. Transfer the plant to a different pot and reduce watering.
Step 3
Leaves turn yellow.
If the leaves, in addition to yellowing, rot and wither, then the soil is waterlogged. If there is only yellowness, then the reason is a lack of fertilizers. Yellowing of only the lower leaves and the appearance of dark spots on them means a lack of moisture. Pale leaves with yellow spots are a clear sign of excess light. Study the signs carefully and determine your next steps.
Step 4
Falling leaves.
The lower leaves fall off due to aging. But if several leaves fall off at once and before falling off they become dry and dark, then the plant is under stress from the increased temperature. Very often in winter, the monster is rearranged to the battery. This is not worth doing.
Step 5
Bare trunk below with small leaves.
Remove the plant from the shade. Monstera does not grow in a dark place.
Step 6
Brown tops and edges of the leaves.
The reason is dry air. Spray monstera leaves. Also check if the pot is too small for the plant and replant it if necessary.
Step 7
Leaves without holes typical for monstera.
Move the plant to a location that gets enough light. In a tall monstera, water and nutrients may not reach the top. Deepen the aerial roots into the soil. If there are no cuts in young leaves, do not worry, they will appear over time.
