Serebro is a group of three girls. The creator and producer of the collective is Maxim Fadeev.
The history of the creation of the group
Maxim Fadeev planned to make an analogue of the product of Asian pop culture. A team of pre-trained and trained top-level artists was supposed to rapidly gain popularity and enter the markets of not only Russian-speaking countries, but also conquer Asian countries saturated with youth groups. The girl group included Olya Seryabkina, Marina Lizorkina and Lena Temnikova. The group was founded in 2006.
Participation in the Eurovision Song Contest
The plans of the famous producer were not destined to come true. In 2007, even before the debut of the project, the group was invited to go to the international vocal contest "Eurovision". Despite the inexperience of the girls on the big stage and their unknown even in their home country, the group managed to win third place. The girls sang an English song called "Song # 1". The team received 207 points in the voting.
The beginning of success
The girls woke up famous all over the world. The fans waited and demanded a new track from the band. How happy the compatriots were when they heard from the girls a song in Russian called "Breathe". It was a touching and tender ballad. In Europe, the group was also in demand. The song "What’s your problem" was released for the English-speaking audience.
In 2008, the group released another novelty - the song "Opium". Immediately, its analogue was made in English called "Why". Soon the premiere of another song entitled "Say, do not be silent" took place, which quickly gained popularity in its native country.
A year later, the band released a full-fledged album of eleven songs called "Opium Roz". It included tracks in the same two languages. The combination of Russian hits and compositions, which could claim to be in demand in Europe, was very unconventional. The disk has united all the efforts of the team during the work. The premiere took place in an unusual way. Poklonnaya Gora was chosen for the concert. Spectators didn't have to pay for tickets. About seventy thousand people came to see the group.
Group development and line-up changes
In mid-summer 2009, for the first time, one of the three colleagues decided to leave the group. Marina left the team. She was immediately replaced by Nastya Karpova. She recorded the song "Sweet" and its English version.
In 2010, the band released the song "For Time" and its English version called "Sexing U". The video for this track topped more than one rating in Russia.
The appearance of the girls during photography, on video and in performances became more and more frank. The girls' lyrics and demeanor became more and more daring. The video "Mama Lyuba" refused to host many TV channels.
In 2016, the trio released a track called "Broken". In 2017, several more songs were released that the public liked, and the group continued to be active.
In August, Polina said that she wanted to leave the group, but continued to work almost until the end of the year. Fadeev on his website told about the start of the selection of candidates for the place of the soloist in the group. Tanya Morgunova became the winner.
In March 2018, the track "111307" was released. In August, the trio presented the song "Chico loco", which contains both English and Spanish.
In the same year, the band released the song On the Face with the group "Bread". The girls sang two compositions together with Fadeev.
In the fall, Seryabkina told on a social network that from 2019 she will cease to be the soloist of the group.
Producer's plans
Maxim Fadeev decided to completely renew the composition of the group. In November, the director announced the start of the casting and the disbandment of the last line-up in February 2019.
