Their reward is often the perch - a beautiful and tasty fish that will adorn any fish soup.

Step 1
Before fishing in the winter, you need to give the perch some bait so you can be sure you will return home with your prey. At this time of the year, the perch, like all other fish, is preoccupied with finding food. Often its prey is juvenile bream, pike, roach, crucian carp. A larger perch can also eat a fellow fry. Therefore, the perch stays closer to shallow areas of the reservoir, where the likelihood of encountering fry is much greater. Choose such spots and do some holes.
Step 2
Place the holes 40-100 meters apart. Immediately, as soon as you drill the ice and make a hole, throw a handful of complementary foods into the water. After completing all the planned holes, return to the first one and start fishing. Usually, after 1-2 perches are caught, the bites stop, so throw another portion of bait into the water and go fishing to the next hole.
Step 3
Only animal food is suitable as bait for perch - drill, cut worm or fish, bloodworm. It also happens that by feeding large roach with vegetable lure - dough, bread or porridge, you can collect juvenile fish to the hole, which will also serve as bait for perch.
Step 4
Seasoned fishermen feed the perch with the smell of blood. Buy it from the butcher shop in the bazaar. Pour the blood into a rubber finger pad or glove, tie them tightly and tie a small weight to the string. Before throwing the fingertip into the hole, make a hole in it with a needle so that the blood begins to flow out. The perch will gather under the hole, attracted by the smell of blood.
Step 5
Another way to use blood is to stir it with a bloodworm before fishing and freeze it in ice cube trays in the fridge freezer. Put the ice cubes of blood in a thermos and you can easily take them to the place of fishing. Throw a couple of these cubes into the hole and the bloodthirsty perch will surely come for a treat.
