Instructions
Step 1
Before you start creating a solid perfume, experiment with a combination of essential oils and create a composition that is pleasing to your sense of smell. Check the scent on your skin, listen to how it changes and unfolds. Remember, or better write down the names of the oils and the number of drops.
Step 2
Traditionally, perfumes are made up of three different groups of ethers. The table shows a diagram of fragrances, by which you can navigate when composing perfumes. When you choose the main note of the composition, you need to supplement it with ether from neighboring groups. For example, if the base is a citrus note, then it is best set off by the aromas of herbal and floral groups.
Step 3
Solid perfume is based on beeswax. It is necessary to keep the mixture in a solid form and to keep it from drying out. Grate the wax on a fine grater and melt in a water bath in a glass dish.
Step 4
When the wax is hot, add jojoba or almond oil. Stir well with a glass or wooden spoon.
Step 5
Mix selected essential oils in a glass bowl. Add shea butter to guide the volatile ether.
Step 6
Add the aroma mixture to the slightly cooled wax mass. Stir thoroughly until a homogeneous substance forms.
Step 7
Pour the finished perfume into a storage container. Leave to harden at room temperature.
Step 8
For storage of dry perfume, it is convenient to use pendants and medallions on a chain. They can be worn as a fragrant decoration.
Step 9
If you want to create a solid aphrodisiac perfume, use a mixture of ylang-ylang (6 drops), orange (5 drops), patchouli and juniper (3 drops each), geranium and sandalwood (4 drops each) as the main ingredient. It will be enough to run your finger over the perfume, and then along the points with increased blood circulation (neck, wrists) and in a few minutes the aroma will open, exciting you and those around you.
