A large number of ready-made carnival costumes are sold in stores, in which a child can go to a masquerade or a Christmas tree. But it so happens that a suit is needed in the summer or autumn, for example, to participate in a school play. Then ingenuity and skillful hands will come to the aid of parents.

It is necessary

A piece of fabric, artificial fur or velvet, threads, a needle, scissors, old gloves, cloth slippers, dry leaves, twigs, acorns, PVA glue

Instructions

Step 1

Take a dark green or brown-brown fabric approximately 1.5 x 1.5 meters in size. Cut a hole in the middle for the head. Cut the bottom of the resulting hoodie so that you get long strips with uneven edges. From the circle of fabric left after making the neckline, cut out several leaves, twigs, patches, and sew them onto the goblin costume in different places.

Step 2

Cut off long strips of faux fur or velvet and sew them over the neck of the hoodie. Make a belt from the remaining strips. To do this, strips of fabric can either be tied together or sewn with large, uneven stitches.

Step 3

Cut out a piece of faux fur using the width of the circumference of the baby's head. Roll up the fur to form a cylinder and sew the fabric joints together. You will get a cap in the form of a pipe. The top of the cap should be pinned with vertical seams, and the bottom should be cut into the form of noodles. In this case, the front "noodles" should be short (so as not to fall into the eyes), and the back - long (almost up to the shoulders).

Step 4

Trim the old gloves so that the baby's toes are pointing out. If gloves of a suitable color (green, brown, dark orange) are not available, you can wrap your wrists in small pieces of fabric, making many holes and long fringes on them. To prevent the fabric from collapsing, secure it carefully with a couple of stitches.

Step 5

Sew strips of fabric in a checkerboard pattern onto ordinary house slippers with a rag top to make the pattern look like bast shoes. Or, decorate the fabric part of each sneaker with real natural materials (twigs, leaves, acorns) using glue.
