Instructions

Step 1

The easiest way to make such a mask is using the papier-mâché technique. Prepare old newspapers, PVA glue, sunglasses, black plastic, a mannequin in the form of a head for a hat, a container of water, scissors and cardboard. You will also need pencils, black paint, clear varnish, hat bands, eraser and sandpaper.

Step 2

Place a mannequin in front of you, the head size of which is slightly larger than yours, lubricate the shape of the mannequin's head with petroleum jelly or cream, and begin to gently paste over the mannequin with pieces of newsprint dipped in water, forming the back of the mask. Paste over the form with wet paper, then start wetting the newspaper scraps in PVA glue and applying the following layers.

Step 3

Apply four layers of glued paper and dry the workpiece, then apply four more layers. The thickness of the papier-mâché workpiece should be 4-5 mm. Increase the thickness of the layers until it becomes optimal. Dry the helmet blank completely and remove it from the mannequin.

Step 4

Now prepare two sheets of black plastic that you can cut from your stationery plastic folders and join them together. Attach the plastic to the blank of the helmet so that the center of the sheet covers the neck. Cut off the side edges diagonally and tape them together, gluing the seams on the inside so as not to spoil the appearance of the helmet.

Step 5

Now start making the front of the mask - cover the face of the mannequin with pieces of newspaper dipped in PVA glue, repeating the relief of the face, and also increase the amount of paper in the cheekbones to form noticeable protrusions.

Step 6

Make a triangle out of cardboard and install a cardboard grate inside to make a speech device. Paint the triangle with black paint. Glue it to the mask after it dries, and then work over the edges of the mask to remove any unevenness.

Step 7

Remove the lenses from the old sunglasses and circle them, placing them on the mask in the area of / u200b / u200bthe eyes. Cut out the holes for the lenses and glue them from the wrong side with tape. In the side edges of the mask, make holes for ribbons or a hat elastic. Sand the surface of the helmet with a fine sandpaper, paint the mask with black paint and varnish.
