The main attributes of a Japanese woman in the traditional sense are a luxurious silk kimono, a complex hairstyle decorated with flowers, a pale face and a slightly sad look. Use your knowledge of Japanese geisha to create a party costume.

Step 1
Buy or sew a kimono. If you are sewing a suit yourself, find a pattern for a long-sleeved wraparound robe with one-piece sleeves. The main importance is not so much the correctness of the pattern as the pattern on the fabric. Traditionally, the Japanese choose kimonos with flowering trees for the spring period, summer dress features drawings of rivers and streams, and crimson tree leaves are characteristic of autumn kimonos. Remember the main rule - first, wrap the kimono shelf, which is one piece with the right sleeve, then the one with the left. A kimono, wrapped on the contrary, is worn only on the deceased during funeral processions. Complete the look with a wide silk (artificial silk) belt, tie a decorative cord over the knotted belt.
Step 2
Pay special attention to your hairstyle. If you have long, dark hair, create a complex bun, combing the hair in the temporal part of your head first for extra volume. Secure your hair with special hair sticks, if not, paint with wooden chopsticks. You can also use fresh flowers to decorate your hair. If you have blonde hair, use wigs to create your Japanese geisha look. A good option is a wig of straight black hair, cut in the shape of a "square" with thick straight bangs up to the eyebrows (think of Japanese children or Japanese kokeshi nesting dolls).
Step 3
Choose shoes that match your outfit. You can put on your feet clogs with cork or wooden soles, the straps of which are in harmony with the color of the kimono material. It is also permissible to wear flip-flops on a thin rubber sole with two straps. Japanese ladies wear such slippers (in Japanese, these shoes are called zori) over light knitted socks or socks, which at first glance is uncomfortable, but you get used to it over time.
Step 4
Don't forget about make-up. Even out the tone of the face with light tonal means, emphasize the eyebrows, and line the eyes. For lips, use luscious red lipstick shades.
