- photographs of children, pictures from magazines;
- beads, sequins, fabrics, lace, shells, strings, sealing wax - your choice
- baguette rail
Instructions
Step 1
Choose a topic for the newspaper. Usually these are children's birthdays, but birthday can also be themed by dedicating the newspaper to one cartoon, or a child's favorite fairy tale. The newspaper can also be designed in the form of a logical game that connects several tasks, or devoted to stories from the life of a child. In addition, children's newspapers can be simply the result of joint creativity for any reason - the holiday of mothers, grandmothers, or dad and grandfather, the New Year and others.
Step 2
Find the materials you need. In addition to glue, drawing paper, colored paper, scissors, usually used in such cases, you can show imagination and expand your possibilities. Use many different materials and textures - ropes, shells, various fabrics, sequins, sculpted plastic, drawings from magazines, advertisements, etc. - and then each embodiment of your idea will become an unusual holiday.
Step 3
Select the content of the newspaper - texts, poems, songs, wishes - according to the topic of the newspaper and the event that it covers. Dedicating a newspaper to a birthday man, for example, choose interesting photos from his life, make a selection of successes and achievements. When making a newspaper for a holiday with your child, be creative, try to compose small couplets, funny tales, fairy tales.
Step 4
Prepare the background of the children's newspaper. You can tint the paper using light shades of watercolors or shavings of pencil lead of different colors, rubbed with a cotton swab. You can artificially age the edges of the newspaper, or it is interesting to arrange the corners.
Step 5
Try on all the collected material on the prepared Whatman paper, distribute it in blocks, leaving space for various illustrations. Once the location of all the texts is "approved", proceed to pasting them. Then paste the selected pictures or illustrate the text yourself. If necessary, leave free space for guests' wishes.
Step 6
Finally, decorate the newspaper with selected materials. A "girly" newspaper, for example, can be decorated with small bows, voluminous hearts, sequins around the edges. And here is a newspaper dedicated to vacation - with small shells, sand sprinkled on PVA glue. Choose small details that will be easy to attach and not overload the newspaper and act as fantasy dictates. Attach the top edge of the newspaper to a thin baguette strip, tie a string to it and find a worthy place for your publication!
