Robert Norman (Rob) Reiner is an American theater, film, television actor, writer, screenwriter, director and producer. Twice winner of the Emmy Award and multiple Golden Globe and Oscar nominees.
Reiner came to cinematography in the late 1960s. His creative biography includes more than 70 roles in television and film projects. He also directed and produced 26 films and wrote 15 films.

Rob was born in the United States in the spring of 1947 into a Jewish family. He is the son of renowned actor, comedian, writer, producer, director, 12th Emmy winner Karl Reiner and actress and singer Estelle Lebost.
His ancestors on his father's side were from Austria and Romania, and on his mother's side - from Russia, Germany and Poland.
As a child, he often attended the performances and rehearsals of his father, who became his role model. Mom also instilled in the boy a love of creativity literally from birth. It was she who inspired her son to become not only an actor, but also a director in the future.

Personal life
In the spring of 1971, Rob became the husband of actress and director Penny Marshall. They lived together for 10 years, but divorced in 1981. The couple did not have common children, but Rob was engaged in raising Penny's daughter from his first marriage, whose name is Tracy.
The second wife of the artist was actress and photographer Michelle Singer. They met while filming When Harry Met Sally. Michelle helped Rob in the work on the film and it was thanks to her that significant changes were made to the picture, especially in the final scenes. After filming ended, Rob and Michelle announced their engagement and got married on May 19, 1989. The couple are raising three children: Jake, Nick and Romy.
