The kunai is a small Japanese dart, a combat weapon that requires skill in handling it. Kunai is made of iron without sharp edges. Its length usually varies from 10 to 50 centimeters. There are several ways to make kunai at home.
Instructions
Step 1
Method one. Paper. Take a few sheets of A4 paper. Prepare scissors, glue, a pencil, black and white markers, and paints. Fold a piece of paper in half so that it makes four rectangles when cut with scissors. Cut the paper along the fold lines.
Step 2
Fold the corners of the four rectangles on all sides and leave a small distance between opposite corners. On each sheet, fold one edge in the same way as you fold when making a paper airplane. Fold the resulting shapes in half again on each rectangle. As a result, you will have four shapes. Connect them in pairs.
Step 3
To make a kunai handle, take a second sheet of paper and a simple pencil. Cut a narrow strip to the full length of the sheet. Cover the surface of the pencil with glue and spiral the prepared strip of paper around it. Wait until the glue is completely dry.
Step 4
To make a blade, take two folded shapes from paper and glue them so that you get a cone in the form of an equilateral blade when bending two corners towards each other. Then glue the kunai handle to the base of the blade, leaving the corners free. After the glue is completely dry, fill the blade with small pieces of paper to make it bulky.
Step 5
In the same way, make a blade from the second pair of shapes. Glue the ends together and slide over the first blade. Cut a narrow strip of paper and make a ring by cutting a hole in it. Glue this structure to the kunai handle. Dry the dart and paint it.
Step 6
Method two. Wood. Saw a Japanese dart out of wood or plywood. Sharpen the ends and shave off the kunai handle. Dilute the salty solution and soak the kunai in it. This will give it strength and weight. After the dart is soaked, remove it from the solution and dry thoroughly. Cover the kunai with varnish.
Step 7
Method three. Lead. Melt two candles and make a kunai cast. Pour gypsum into the paraffin cast. Detach the paraffin wax from the kunai plaster mold. Wait until the plaster is completely dry. Melt the lead in a tin can over a gas stove fire and pour it melted into a plaster mold. Wait until the lead has completely solidified, then remove it from the mold, grind it with sandpaper and a file and polish it.
