Spinning fishing, which came to Russia from Europe in the nineteenth century, gained universal recognition. Today it is one of the most popular ways to hunt fish of a wide variety of predatory species. The comfort and success of fishing largely depends on how to equip the spinning rod.
It is necessary
- - spinning rod;
- - pass rings;
- - spinning reel;
- - fishing line;
- - bait (spoon, wobbler, vibrotail, etc.).
Instructions
Step 1
Start rigging your spinning rod by equipping it with line guides. Factory made rods are usually sold with guides already installed. However, such rings do not always provide satisfactory fishing quality, and they often need to be replaced.
Pick up a number of guides equal to the number of rod sections. It makes sense to choose rings with an increased diameter - such that the line, moving along a complex spiral trajectory due to the rapid release from the stationary spool, could pass through them without kinks and twisting. The ring installed on the first section must be of the largest diameter. The diameter of the subsequent rings should gradually decrease as they approach the rod end.
It is good if the inner surface of the rings is ceramic - this reduces the chance of sharp notches on which the line can be cut when casting. In addition, line wear when passing through ceramic rings is noticeably less than when using metal counterparts.
Step 2
Equip the spinning rod with a line reel. Today it makes sense to equip the spinning rod with only a spinning reel due to its convenience and maximum casting distance. Inertia reels and baitcasting reels are practically out of use and are used only by conservative spinning anglers.
Select a reel based on the diameter and maximum required length of line to be loaded on it and the location of the handle. The accompanying documentation for spinning reels, as a rule, contains tables from which you can find out how much line of which diameter fits on the spool. Coils are available with both right and left handles. Find and purchase a suitable coil. Install it on the rod.
Step 3
Reel in the line. Choose a fishing line based on the expected weight and strength of the fish you will be fishing for. Instead of fishing line, you can use "braid" - a thin nylon thread. It is less durable, but much softer, as a result of which it gets less tangled and comes off the spool much more evenly when casting.
Step 4
Equip the spinning rod with bait. There is a great choice here. These can be wobblers, vibrotails, spinners, twisters, jig heads. If you plan to hunt for a strong predatory fish with sharp teeth (pike, pike perch), then you should use a steel leash about 15 cm long to attach the bait to the fishing line.
