Boilies are artificial lures for catching large fish. The first boilies appeared in Europe, they were prepared from semolina, corn and soy grits. Today this bait is popular with fishermen all over the world and can be purchased from fishing shops or prepared by yourself.
Despite the composition of homemade boilies, the preparation process for these baits is the same. First, the dough is prepared, rolled into sausages and cut into pieces. Then the resulting parts are rolled into balls, dipped in hot water and boiled, fried or frozen.
Boilies made of flour and semolina
Boilies made from various types of flour and semolina are popular with novice anglers and professionals. The bait attracts carp and carp. For its preparation, you will need 300 g of corn flour and semolina, 200 g of fish and soy flour, 200 ml of soy milk, 1 egg yolk. Anise, coriander, cinnamon, garlic, and food colors can be added to the mixture as flavoring.
Mix flour and grits. Add flavors and colors to the egg, combine all the ingredients and knead the dough. Roll up the balls and boil them in boiling water, dry for 1 hour and put in the freezer.
Homemade bait boilies
Boilies can be used not only as a bait, but also as bait. To attract fish to the place of fishing, fishermen prepare economical boilies from pea flour.
This will require 3 eggs, 150 g semolina, 300 g pea flour, 1 tbsp. ground hemp, 1 tbsp. salt, food coloring, 2 g each of vanillin and cinnamon. For turbid water, you need to choose dyes of light colors, for transparent - bright ones.
First, you need to beat the egg with a mixer, add salt, vanillin, dyes and cinnamon, stir until a homogeneous mass is obtained, gradually pour out flour, cereals and ground hemp. The dough must be kneaded until it stops sticking to your hands. Roll sausages out of it, cut and make balls out of them. Boil the boilies for 2 minutes and dry in the oven. After cooking, homemade boilies can be immediately taken on a fishing trip or stored in women's nylon tights.
There are many flavors that can be used for boilies. During preparation, it is important to remember that dry additives are poured only into a dry mixture, and liquid additives into ingredients diluted with water. In dry mixes, fishermen add cinnamon powder, vanillin or curry mix. In a liquid base anise oil, anise seed remedy. Before placing the boilie by a thread, you can dip it in strawberry jam.
Experienced fishermen advise making boilies on their own, they will improve the biting intensity and interest the most whimsical fish.
