Step 1

The main task when drawing animals is to master their most realistic image. This skill comes with experience, and its development can be accelerated by studying the anatomy of the selected living creature. Also try to find as many images and photographs as possible in which the animal is captured in different states. Consider them carefully, trying to remember which poses are most typical for him. Already in this regard, it is a fairly easy object, which even a beginner can portray.

Step 2

Most often, a snake can be seen in the process of movement or in a calm state. In the first case, the snake wriggles, in the second, it coils into rings. Start with a picture of a crawling snake. To do this, draw a sinusoid-like sinusoidal line, the nose with more rounded and smoother vertices. On one side of the line, draw the head of a snake - depict a semi-oval, and then make its top slightly pointed. After that, draw a second winding line, exactly repeating the bends of the first. Connect the lines at an angle to represent the snake's tail. Use semi-circular hatching to add volume to the snake's body.

Step 3

After the rough drawing of the snake is ready, you can start coloring. Carefully study the color of the snake beforehand. It is characterized by two bright yellow spots on the sides of the head, and the body color is black patterns on a gray background. Remember that the abdomen of the snake is most often paler than the back; in the snake it is usually whitish in color. First, tint the snake's body with gray, then start painting patterns with a thin brush. They can be slightly asymmetrical, as the snake is depicted in motion. The use of chiaroscuro will help to add volume and realism to the image of the snake. To do this, define an imaginary light source in the drawing and, in places opposite to the incidence of light rays, make the color darker.
