The approach of spring is already noticeable, and I really want to have pleasant memories from the frosty winter. To do this, try to make snowballs, the technology and manufacturing methods of which directly depend on your personal wishes, the degree of skill, the purpose of the crafts, as well as the consumables available.

It is necessary

balloons, PVA glue, decorative threads, sequins, sequins, cotton wool

Instructions

Step 1

Buy inflatable balls of a round shape and the smallest diameter in children's stores, otherwise you will end up with a snowball instead of a snowball.

Step 2

Dissolve PVA glue with water in a container, observing a 1: 1 ratio. In the absence of glue, weld a paste, which is also ideal in terms of its qualities. To do this, dilute two tablespoons of potato starch in a little cold water, and then pour this mixture into 100 ml of boiling water and, without boiling, remove from heat.

Step 3

Inflate the balloons, and tying the hole tightly, wrap the balloons with threads. It is better to use cotton threads, but if you wish, you can use others. It is necessary to wrap in different directions to get something like a net.

Step 4

Saturate the thread layer with the prepared glue solution. To do this, you can use a small paint brush.

Step 5

Dry the resulting ball thoroughly and repeat the wrapping and impregnation operation again. This will give your snowballs more durability. After the second layer has dried, start decorating. For decoration, you can use the following options:

- Apply glue to the finished snowball, and then roll in silver sparkles.

- Glue white or silver sequins with super glue. Sequins can be purchased at sewing accessories stores.

- glue a thin layer of cotton wool over the threads, then your snowball will turn out to be "fluffy", but this must be done very carefully to make the snowballs soft and not prickly to the touch.

- while wrapping the second layer, add lurex to the cotton threads. After drying, there will be no need to additionally decorate such a snowball, because it will shine a little anyway.

Step 6

After all the layers have dried properly, pierce the ball with a needle and carefully remove it from the small hole at the base left when winding.

Your fragile, transparent snowball is ready!
