Michael Sembello is a popular American guitarist. He was born on April 17, 1954 in an ordinary family. Parents lived in the famous city of Philadelphia. My father played the banjo in a late-night restaurant. The mother worked in a beauty salon. From an early age, the child listened to high-quality music at home, both live and recorded. The boy had perfect pitch. When Michael was nine years old, he picked up a guitar.
While receiving his elementary education at school, Sembello took guitar lessons from professional musicians. He studied the technique of attacking the strings under the supervision of the famous maestro. However, in order to master musical notation, he had to graduate from a music college. This process did not require much work. Regular classes and natural data allowed the young performer to become a noticeable figure among the performers of pop melodies.
On the professional stage
When Michael was seventeen years old, he was invited to his team by the then famous singer and composer Steve Wonder. The young performer was fluent in the technique of playing electric and acoustic guitar. This was important for the quality recording of compositions. The work on the album took almost two years. Sembello combined two functions - guitar solo and rhythm guitar. The effort was worth it. The concept album of the iconic composer Key of Life has received diamond status.
After the first successful recordings, Sembello was invited to the rock group "Jackson-5", which was organized by three siblings. The guitarist had a unique intuition and literally from the very first notes he could continue any melody that was asked to play. Michael was invited to collaborate on the release of albums by many star performers. He himself was gradually preparing his solo disc for release. The guitarist came to the finale in 1983.
Essays on private life
The first solo album included ten tracks and one song "Maniac", which became the peak of Semebella's creativity. This song quite unexpectedly became popular in the Soviet Union after the release of the movie "Flash Dance". Several times Michael acted as a producer for his colleagues. It should be noted that no significant effect was achieved. The performer's career was going well, but independent projects did not work out.
Soundtracks for the films "Cocoon", "Gremlins", "Summer Lovers" brought a decent income. Very little is known about Semebella's personal life. He was once married. Husband and wife did not live long under the same roof. From that moment on, he no longer tried to start a family.
