To catch crucian carp you need a good bait. You can use ready-made mixes that are sold in fishing stores. Experienced fishermen advise adding flavorings such as vanilla or caramel to the bait. You can make your own groundbait from bread, steamed grain, potatoes and porridge. It is necessary to give a lure a day before the intended fishing and immediately before it.

catch both animals and vegetable baits. In this regard, crucian carp is a very picky fish. A good option would be to use dragonfly larvae, small leeches, bloodworms, and maggot. You can try to make combined nozzles - for example, plant several maggots and several bloodworm larvae, or "prick" an earthworm along with maggot. You can also try catching large house flies and small grasshoppers. Meal worms and caddis larvae are also suitable. Of the vegetable baits, bread rolls, porridge or honey cakes are most often used (their smell is very attractive for crucian carp).
Step 4
Float rods with blind rigging are well suited for catching crucian carp. It is better to take a fishing line of 0, 12 mm, a leash of 0, 1-0, 8 mm, hooks No. 8-10. Crucians are very slow, so it is better to use single-point floats and sinking lines to catch them. The tackle must be positioned in such a way that the hook with the bait lies at the bottom. Experienced fishermen advise using thin gear on a shock absorbing rod, as well as landing nets with a handle.
