Ballpoint pen, guitar string, motor, gear and bushing from an old tape recorder, piece of plastic tubing, power supply, ink for drawing, disinfectant, petroleum jelly

Step 1
First, decide on the place on the body and the appearance of the tattoo.

Assemble the tattooing device. To do this, take an ordinary ballpoint pen (although a helium pen is also suitable), disassemble it, remove the refill. Squeeze a ball out of the paste at the rod. The paste will serve as a guide for the needle in the future. Try on a string. If the diameter of the string is larger than the diameter of the paste, cut off the rounded portion of the paste where the ball was. Adjust the length of the string to the length of the handle.
Step 3
Sharpen one end of the string so that it can pass freely into the shaft (but not dangle). Insert the string gently into the shaft.

Take a piece of plastic tubing and cut it to length. Heat it slightly with a lighter and bend one end of the tube 90 degrees. Put one end of the prepared tube on the end of the handle, and attach a motor to the other end.
Step 5
Attach the string to the bushing. To do this, make a small loop at the end of the string in advance. Using a soldering iron, attach the sleeve to the gear. Connect the power supply.
Step 6
The machine is ready! Now start drawing on the body. Prepare where you want to tattoo. Disinfect the area with alcohol or other antiseptic.
Step 7
If your drawing is simple, you can apply it to the body with a regular pen, and then prick it. If you want something more complex, sketch on paper, oil it, circle the sketch with dye and immediately apply the drawing to the desired area of the body. Wait a few minutes for the pattern to transfer onto the skin.
Step 8
Next, with the machine you have assembled, begin to trace the drawing along the contour. To do this, dip the device in a jar of mascara and start pricking. Wipe the area periodically with a cloth and alcohol so that you can see the pattern. When the outline is ready, you can start shading. When finished, lubricate the tattoo with Vaseline and continue to lubricate it regularly for several days.
