To draw a portrait is a very difficult matter, since when drawing it is necessary to observe proportions, draw many details symmetrically. Drawing a portrait with a pencil is one of the easiest, as the failed lines can always be erased and redrawn.

It is necessary

  • - album sheet;
  • - the pencils;
  • - eraser.

Instructions

Step 1

It is necessary to put the landscape sheet in front of you vertically and divide it in half (you can draw a barely noticeable line along the sheet). In the middle of the sheet on the line, draw one eye, then to the left of it - the second eye, just below (between the eyes) draw a nose, then under the nose, stepping back quite a bit - lips.

Step 2

Next, you need to decide on the size of the head. So, you need to remember that the distance from the eyes to the crown and from the eyes to the tip of the chin must be equal. Barely touching the sheet with a pencil, measure these distances, then draw an oval. After that, you can start drawing the hair, neck, etc.

Step 3

As soon as the previous stage is completed, all auxiliary lines can be removed (erased with an eraser), pick up a soft pencil and slightly darken (shade) the hair. Slightly correct the lines, give them clarity.

Step 4

The final stage is shading the entire drawing. It is necessary to determine from which side the light will fall (in this case, the light falls from the right).

Gently shade the areas near the nose and eyes on the left, darken the hair, which is also on the left side. Decorate the background.

Pick up an eraser and create highlights on the hair, the right side of the nose and the left cheek. The portrait is ready.
