First you need to pay attention to the sound quality. In cheap models, insufficiently powerful amplifiers and rather simple acoustics are usually used, which negatively affect the sound quality. But expensive models provide high sound quality due to more powerful amplifiers, high-quality CD transports, cassette decks equipped with a noise reduction system. Many models may have sound processors that allow you to create a sound atmosphere in different rooms, equalizers designed to change the frequency characteristics. Some music centers may have built-in processors that are used to create a home theater.

CD players can hold 1-5 CDs. Music centers equipped with a CD changer are considered more convenient as you can switch discs using the remote control.

You also need to pay attention to the ability to play MP3 format, as this will allow you to place more music on a regular CD.

The presence of an equalizer will allow you to customize the sound "for yourself". The more bands an equalizer has, the better. Many models of musical centers have the ability to programmatically adjust the equalizer, save and load presets.
