Choose a theme and genre. The first step is to decide what exactly you want to write about. Any book is based on some idea, plot or unusual life situation. Formulate it in a few sentences and retell it to your friends and acquaintances as if it were about some other book you are about to read. This trick will allow you to understand how interesting your idea is to others and whether the book can be successful in the future. Then choose the genre that best captures your theme.
Step 2
Decide on your potential readership. Imagine a person who comes to buy your book. What is he? Consider how old he might be, what his job is, what kind of education he got. In the future, try not to forget about your virtual reader. For a book to find a live review, you must speak with the audience in the same language, which will largely determine the topic and style of the text.
Step 3
Gather all the information you need. A writer needs to be competent in the area he is writing about. Do not limit yourself to looking for information in libraries and on the Internet.
