An unusual thing, a piece piece, an exclusive, reflecting the state of mind of its creator, can be made in just a couple of hours, using available inexpensive materials and without significant financial investments. So you can make a sign on the door with your own hands. It is not necessary to indicate the last name of the tenants on it, but you can write, for example, the family's motto or a phrase describing the atmosphere in the house, etc.
It is necessary

Instructions
Step 1
On thick cardboard using a simple pencil, draw 4 heart-shaped shapes of different sizes. It is not necessary to make the hearts of the same type, the curves with respect to each other look even more interesting. The largest heart is 18x14 cm (Figure 1). The size of the rest of the hearts is smaller, for example, 14x10 cm, 13x10 cm, 12x9 cm.
Step 2
On the heart of the largest area, use PVA glue to glue the rest, from largest to smallest. Keep in mind that regular PVA stationery glue will not work, you should purchase a thicker glue at a hardware store. Such PVA glue is thicker, more difficult to absorb into the surface of the cardboard, dries faster, thus reducing the time for gluing parts. In addition, the parts are glued together more firmly, and the glue can withstand the large weight of the parts. This is important because, in addition to the basic cardboard elements, plastic and metal decorations will be glued.
Step 3
Put the glued main part in the form of a multi-layer heart under the bending and withstand the time indicated on the glue package.
Step 4
In the meantime, choose the decor you want to use. Any parts of a suitable size can be used. Small springs, gears, bolts - you can take apart into parts and give a second life even to an old faulty clockwork. In addition, it will be appropriate to use different sizes of buttons made of both plastic and metal or wood. Old, perhaps even rusty, keys of different shapes and sizes can also be used in the manufacture of the original door plate.
Step 5
When the main part is dry, remove the oppression. Examine the part carefully and, if necessary, sand the edges with sandpaper. Take a brown acrylic or gouache paint. When choosing, pay attention to the properties of paints. Gouache is a dense and opaque paint that dries to a matte finish. After drying, gouache crumbles, stains and is easily washed off. To avoid this, gouache paint can be diluted with PVA glue before use. This will make the coating more durable. Acrylic paints do not need such a trick, as they form a dense glossy film on the surface that is resistant to mechanical stress and water. Cover the main part of the plate with a layer of paint. Let dry.
Step 6
When the paint is dry, lay out the selected decorative elements on the part, creating a unique composition. Now you can glue the decorations. If it was not possible to purchase PVA construction or furniture glue, then it is better to entrust the adhesion of jewelry with hot melt glue with a gun or two-component glue. Give time for the details to stick. Cover the product with varnish and powder with powder paint.
Step 7
Make a nice pencil lettering in the middle of the composition. Using a thin brush, apply glue along the outline of the lettering and apply powder paint on top. If it is difficult to write beautiful letters, you can print the phrase on a printer and transfer it to a plate. In this case, the plate says in Danish: "Her er hygge …", which means something like "Here hygge …". Use two screws to attach a chain, string, tape or tape to place the finished sign on the door.
