Instructions
Step 1
An easy-to-make bonbonniere in the form of a bag can be made of satin, crepe-satin or other similar material with a soft sheen. Cut a circle about thirty centimeters in diameter from the fabric. Overlock the edge with a neat hand overlock. Decorate the edges of the workpiece with lace.
Step 2
At a distance of five centimeters from the edge, poke four holes in the fabric through which you can thread the tie. The splendor of the upper part of the bonbonniere depends on the distance between the holes and the edge of the fabric. Carefully cut the edges of the holes in the same way as the outside cut of the workpiece.
Step 3
Pass the satin ribbon through the prepared holes and pull off the resulting pouch slightly. You can put sweets in the bonbonniere and tie the ribbon with a fluffy bow.
Step 4
The resulting little thing can be decorated with roses made from fabric. Since the bonbonniere is a rather miniature item, choose a narrow satin ribbon for making roses.
Step 5
Fold the tape in half widthwise and create a basting stitch along it starting from the fold line. Continue to thread along the folded edge. Finish the seam at the fold line at the opposite end of the tape. As a result, the seam line will be rounded at the ends of the tape.
Step 6
Pull the thread so that the fabric forms uniform gathers along the entire length. Wrap the end of the tape you started with to form the center of the rose. Secure the base of the flower by sewing all layers of fabric. Roll the entire rose in the same way, securing each layer of fabric with thread.
Step 7
Sew the finished flower to the bonbonniere by the lower petals. This will completely cover the base of the rose. If you used a large flower in the design, take not a wide ribbon for tying, but a thin decorative twisted cord or several narrow ribbons. Put large beads on the ends of the ribbons.
