Thread baubles, or "friendship bracelets" have long won the love of many people of all ages - both children and adults. Weaving baubles is not difficult, but such a bracelet can become a memorable and expensive gift, especially if it is woven in a color scheme that somehow matches the image of the person who will wear the bauble. Baubles on which letters and words are woven are especially appreciated - these can be wishes, names, initials, and other combinations. It is not difficult to weave letters on a bauble - in this article you will learn how to do it using the example of the direct weaving technique.
Instructions
Step 1
The letters in the bauble are woven with the same knots as the common canvas - the difference will be in the interweaving of colors. Knots of a different color against the general background will form the outlines of your letters and words.
Step 2
Cut several threads of floss of two colors - for example, place two threads of the same color on the sides, and five threads of a different color in the center. On the right, place another thread that does not need to be cut from the skein - you will use it to weave knots on the warp threads.
Step 3
With a working thread, tie all the threads from right to left until you reach the extreme left. Then move to the next row and knot each thread from left to right.
Step 4
It is best to have a diagram of the future baubles before your eyes - in it, the rows of knots should be marked with dots, and the knots that form the letters should be highlighted in other colors. This way, you will know in which row to start changing the colors on the knots.
Step 5
Continue to weave the bauble with the background color until you follow the pattern to the row on which the first fragments of letters appear. After you have weaved several background knots, and it is time to weave the first knot of the letter, weave it in the opposite direction - for example, if the background knots went from right to left, then the letter knot should go from left to right.
Step 6
Likewise, if the background knots run from left to right, then the letter knot should be knitted from right to left. Continuing the background knots, weave them in the same direction as at the beginning - opposite to the colored text knots.
Step 7
Tighten the knots tighter to keep the pattern even and neat. In this way, you can weave any letter of both the Russian and the English alphabet.
