Tsutomu Yamazaki is a famous Japanese actor. He has starred in the films Red Beard, The Gone, Heaven and Hell, Judo Genius and Kagemusha: Shadow of the Warrior. He is also familiar to viewers from the Kurosagi series.
Biography
The actor was born on December 2, 1936. Tsutomu Yamazaki was born in Matsudo, a city located in Chibe Prefecture in Japan. His wife is Hikaru Maizumi. She was previously a member of the successful group Takarazuka Revue. Tsutomu's daughter is actress Naoko Yamazaki. Together with her father, she played in the TV series "Kurosagi". The actor was educated at Tokyo Metropolitan Ueno High School. He then enrolled at the Japanese Hayyuz Theater Company in Tokyo.
He then worked in one of Japan's top 3 classical shingeki theaters, Bungakuze. This theater was founded by the legendary Japanese playwrights Kunio Kishida, Tvoeo Iwata and Mantaro Kubata in 1937. Then he was a member of the theatrical troupe "Cloud", which was organized in 1963, and in 1975 it had already ceased to exist. Yamazaki took part in theatrical productions of Kihachi Okamoto.
