There are a number of requirements for a personal photo that is pasted into the passport of a citizen of Russia, and they are quite strict.
To obtain a passport of a citizen of Russia, in addition to other documents stipulated by the law, you must provide a block of two or four personal photographs that meet the following requirements:
- The size of each image should be 35 mm wide, 45 mm high. The height of the free field above the head is 5 mm, the oval of the face occupies from 70 to 80 percent of the height of the photograph.
- The person in the photo must be depicted in full face only. The face must be clearly visible (the face must be in focus). Your photo with hats or original hairstyles will not be accepted if they interfere with further authorized persons to identify the passport holder.
A headdress is allowed only if the oval of the face is not hidden, and religious convictions do not allow the holder of the passport to appear in public without it.
By the way, if you constantly need glasses to correct your vision, you will have to take pictures in them, and the glasses should not hide your eyes.
- The photo must correspond to the age of the applicant.
Obviously, this requirement applies to those who change their passport due to age - they simply will not accept photographs in which you look too young.
- They will not accept a passport photo if you decide to be original - made a grimace, smiled, bowed your head coquettishly, etc. Facial expression should be completely neutral, eyes open.
- The background of the passport photo must be completely white, even.
- Both black and white photographs and color photographs are allowed.
